Allan Shivers Library and Museum

Allan Shivers Library and Museum is 1 blk. w. of US 69 and 2 blks. n. of US 190, at 302 N. Charlton St. The museum, in a restored Victorian house, displays mementos of the family of Allan Shivers, governor of Texas 1949-57. The second floor contains historical documents pertinent to Shivers' gubernatorial service.
