Texas Maritime Museum

Texas Maritime Museum is off SR 35 Bus. Rte. at the Rockport Harbor. This museum explores the maritime history of Texas, including Spanish and French exploration, seaport communities, maritime commerce and the search for offshore oil and gas. Nautical artifacts relate to shipbuilding, the oil industry and fishing. Highlights include a 1:12 scale model of La Belle, La Salle's flagship, and other artifacts related to the failed French colony.
