Museum of the Plains

Museum of the Plains is on US 83 at 1200 N. Main St. More than 10,000 items trace the regional history, paleontology and archeology of the High Plains. Exhibits include photographs, fossils, arrowheads, antique vehicles, an oil field display, Native American artifacts, a pioneer settlement and a Kiowa Indian village. Findings from the “Buried City,” a settlement along Wolf Creek dating from A.D. 1100, also are displayed.
