Hermann Park

Hermann Park is at 6100 Hermann Park Dr., opposite Rice University in the Houston Museum District. The 445-acre park contains a zoo, a museum, a miniature train, a water playground, golf and picnic facilities and trails for jogging and bicycling. McGovern Lake offers pedal-boat rentals and a haven for migratory birds. The five-acre Japanese Garden features a tea house, waterfall and pond. Free entertainment is offered at Miller Outdoor Theatre March through November.
