Resaca de la Palma State Park

Resaca de la Palma State Park is at 1000 New Carmen Rd. The summer tanager, yellow-breasted chat, black-bellied whistling duck and purple gallinule are just some of the bird species that call this 1,200-acre park home. On the grounds are more than 11 miles of biking, hiking and walking trails; a visitor center; and four observation decks. Visitors can take a tram tour, rent bikes and binoculars and participate in bird walks, butterfly walks, nighttime hiking trips and other activities.

Note: During the summer months visitors are advised to visit in the early morning or late afternoon, wear a hat and bring mosquito repellent.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
