Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker Metropolitan Park is 1.5 mi. s.w. at 2100 Barton Springs Rd. bordering Lady Bird Lake. The centerpiece of the 358-acre park is Barton Springs Pool, a spring-fed 1,000-foot-long swimming pool with a constant temperature of 68 F. Opportunities for bicycling, canoeing, hiking and picnicking are available . A museum, sculpture garden and outdoor theater also are on the grounds. A 20-minute train ride aboard the Zilker Zephyr is offered.

Note: Coolers, food, glass, alcohol, footballs, soccer balls and Frisbees are not permitted. Nonalcoholic beverages in plastic containers are permitted.

Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
