East Texas Arboretum & Botanical Society

East Texas Arboretum & Botanical Society is 1.5 mi. w. on US 175 Bus. to 1601 Patterson Rd. These 104 acres encompass lush botanical gardens, an arboretum, a replica one-room schoolhouse and a 2-mile hiking trail with a suspension bridge and two other bridges. The restored 1851 home of Bushrod W.J. Wofford includes furniture, a spinning wheel and cooking utensils common to the mid-1800s.
