Metal Museum

Metal Museum is .4 mi. s.w. off I-55N exit 12C at 374 Metal Museum Dr. The museum is devoted to the preservation of fine metalwork and the promotion of metalworking. Historic and contemporary metal objects are exhibited. The museum's 3-acre grounds have an outdoor sculpture garden, a picnic area and a river-bluff pavilion built from a salvaged 19th-century Beale Street building. Metalworking demonstrations are regularly conducted in the Schering-Plough Smithy and Lawler Foundry, also on the grounds.
