The Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center is off I-90 exit 402, 8.5 mi. n. on N. Timberline Ave. (478th Ave./CR 121), then 1.1 mi. e. to 47914 252nd St. The facility's remote sensing technology acquires data about and images of the Earth's ever-changing land masses and relays the information to natural resource managers, scientists, urban planners, government and other entities throughout the world. A Native American winter count exhibit also is on-site.

During 1-hour guided tours, visitors view a third-scale model of the Landsat 8 satellite, satellite imagery from around the world, and the computer room, where staff members monitor the equipment and tools supporting EROS' partnership with NASA. Visitors also learn about ecological impact and how imagery is used to study geology, topography and vegetation, and peruse an exhibit about natural disasters and how sciences are utilized to predict and understand them more accurately.
