Dakota Discovery Museum

Dakota Discovery Museum is at 1200 McGovern Ave. on the Dakota Wesleyan University campus. Galleries display the art of Harvey Dunn, James Earle Fraser, Charles Hargens and Oscar Howe. A history gallery contains Native American beadwork and quillwork as well as exhibits about the settlement experience and the fur trade. Restored buildings include the 1886 Beckwith House, an Italianate villa; an 1885 one-room schoolhouse; a 1900 railroad depot; and a 1909 church.
