Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary

Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is 14 mi. s. on SR 71, then 2 mi. w. at sign; the last 2 mi. are on a gravel road. Guided 2-hour bus tours feature a trip into a private wilderness area where herds of wild horses run free. Passengers also see petroglyphs and Native American ceremonial sites. Other tours are offered.

Note: Visitors should be aware that the ride to view the horses can be rough. Closed-toed shoes are recommended.
