South Dakota State Railroad Museum

South Dakota State Railroad Museum is at 222 Railroad Ave., Building A. The museum provides visitors with the story of railroading through displays, interactive exhibits and an indoor track display for rolling stock and operating model trains. Also included is the Timerail, an 8-foot by 75-foot timeline mural of American and South Dakota rail history and culture. The Trains and Trees holiday event is held in Nov.-Dec.
