Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake is within Custer State Park 7 mi. n. via SRs 87 and 89. Famous in the Black Hills for its unusual scenic setting, the 18-acre lake is surrounded by mammoth rock formations rising from the water's edge. Several scenes from the motion picture “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” were filmed here.

Fishing and rental boats are available.

Camping is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
