Rice Museum, 633 Front St. at jct. Screven St., chronicles the history of the rice industry in the United States with maps, dioramas, photographs and artifacts. A maritime exhibit features the restored Browns Ferry vessel, a 50-foot river freighter that sunk in the Black River around 1730. The museum also has a cross-section scale model of a rice mill and an art gallery.
