McKissick Museum

McKissick Museum is at 816 Bull St. at jct. Pendleton St., near the head of the Historic Horseshoe area on the University of South Carolina campus, 2 blks. s. of the State House. Permanent collections, which focus on Southern folk art, culture and the natural environment, include the Howard Gemstone Collection and the Bernard Baruch Silver Collection as well as items pertaining to the history of the university and South Carolina. The museum also offers changing exhibits.
