Evolution of Education Museum

Evolution of Education Museum is at the corner of Marquis Rd. and Hwy. 2 at 3700 2nd Ave. W. The one-room, 1920 schoolhouse was designed to provide maximum warmth and light, with large windows on the building's east side and desks facing south. Exhibits relate to early education and include pencil boxes, Dick and Jane readers and chalk clamps once used to draw straight lines on a blackboard.

An interpreter is available to answer questions; a visitor information center also is in the building.
