AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Located in a stone-walled hotel in Old Québec, the gorgeous, wood-beamed dining room features fine Québecois cuisine. With its own farm and gardens, this eatery is truly farm-to-fork. The ever-changing, skillfully prepared food is made with local ingredients, such as Mauricie-region sweetbreads, Gaspé Peninsula lobster, and local guinea hen. The staff is well-versed in offering wine recommendations; reservations are required. Enjoy a predinner drink in the hotel's impressive lobby lounge, decorated with artifacts excavated from archaeological digs in Old Québec. The dining room décor has a lovely warmth, accented with weathered rough-hewn post-and-beam vaulted ceiling and floors; the intricate wrought-iron staircase is a gorgeous focal point.
