Parliament Building (Hôtel du Parlement), at Grande Allée and av. Honoré-Mercier, is surrounded by statue-studded grounds complete with trees, shrubs and plants representing the diverse variety of Québec's flora.
Inspired by the Second Empire-style Louvre, the 1886 Parliament Building is a monument commemorating significant national and provincial historical events. Thematic exhibits and various types of tours are offered.
Guided 45-minute tours of the National Assembly Chamber, the Legislative Council Chamber and the Speakers’ Gallery are available in French and English, and, with an advance reservation, in Spanish or sign language (French).
Note: Photo ID with date of birth (for age 16+) must be presented to enter all parliment buildings.
