Capital Observatory (Observatoire de la Capitale) is at 1037 rue de la Chevrotière at jct. boul. René-Lévesque, on the 31st floor of the Marie Guyart Building, the city's tallest edifice. Visitors ascend 221 metres (725 ft.) to the observation level, which affords excellent views of the city, the river and the Laurentians. Multimedia displays, including interactive touch-screen terminals and a kids'-height interpretive zone, relate the history of the area in four thematic areas. Two immersive zones transport visitors to the heart of the winter capital and on a bird's-eye-view tour of the city.
