Montréal Biodôme (Biodôme de Montréal) is at 4777 av. Pierre-de-Coubertin in Olympic Park, part of Montréal Space for Life (M: Viau). Five ecosystems are explored through re-creations of their natural habitats: a tropical rain forest, a Laurentian maple forest, the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Labrador Coast and the Sub-Antarctic Islands. Interpreters are stationed at various points in the habitats to provide explanations.

The Tropical Forest contains more than 1,000 fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. In the Laurentian Forest a coniferous forest and impressive rock formations surround a beaver lake. Scarce vegetation, a rich variety of wildlife and a granite basin holding 2.5 million litres (660,430 U.S. gallons) of saltwater are the hallmarks of the Marine Environment of the St. Lawrence River. The Labrador Coast illustrates the dramatic—and distinct—landscapes and birdlife of the sub-Arctic region and the sub-Antarctic Islands, including five species of penguins.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
