Greene County Historical Society is off I-79 exit 14, about 1 mi. e. on SR 21, then .6 mi. s. on A Kern Rd. and just e. to 918 Rolling Meadows Rd. The museum is housed in an 1860s building that served as the Greene County Poor Farm through 1964.
The 52-room structure offers local history exhibits, including Monongahela cultural items, salt-glaze pottery, quilts, Depression-era glassware, a sports history exhibit and a country store. Glassware and equipment from the former 1908-77 James Bryan Dairy also are on display.
Guided tours are available by appointment.
