Jennings Environmental Education Center

Jennings Environmental Education Center, 4 mi. s. at SRs 8, 173 and 528, protects remnants of a prairie ecological system that dates back 6,000 years, when a major prairie extended out of the Midwest into Pennsylvania. A stand of blazing star, a rare, wild prairie flower, blooms in late July. Environmentally based programs occur throughout the year. Five miles of hiking trails also are available.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
