Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour

Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour at 1 Bald Mountain Rd. in McDade Park. Visitors are taken via railcar 300 feet underground to the floor of the coal mine, then on a guided walking tour through the mine's three veins. Underground temperatures remain at a constant 53 degrees Fahrenheit; jackets are available on loan. Above ground, an interpretive center houses wall mural exhibits. A theater shows an orientation film.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
