Duquesne Incline

Duquesne Incline departs from the lower station at 1197 W. Carson St., .2 mi. w. of the s. end of Fort Pitt Bridge. The ride aboard the restored cable cars, which have been used by commuters since 1877, scales the wooded slopes of Mt. Washington. Visitors can get a panoramic view of Pittsburgh and see a pictorial history of the Steel City in the upper station. The viewing platform offers an opportunity to watch the hoisting equipment.
