Juniata College, n. edge of town, was founded in 1876. The L.A. Beeghly Library has an extensive collection of Pennsylvania-German printed materials. The Juniata College Museum of Art, at 17th and Moore sts. in Carnegie Hall, presents regular exhibits of paintings, prints and photographs. The Cloister dormitory, built in 1928, exemplifies the Pennsylvania-German style of architecture.
