AAA Editor Notes
Newlin Grist Mill consists of 150 acres on Baltimore Pike/US 1 at Cheyney Rd. The restored gristmill, with a 16-foot water-powered wheel, dates from 1704. The miller's stone house, built in 1739, is furnished in period. A blacksmith shop, bank barn, springhouse and log cabin are in the park, as is the Markham Train Station, which serves as a visitor center. There are more than 8 miles of nature trails along the millrace and the stream. Blacksmith demonstrations are given seasonally.
