Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge

Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge is reached via US 730 (between the towns of Irrigon and Boardman), then n. 2 mi. on Paterson Ferry Rd. The refuge's 23,555 acres of wetlands, open waters, uplands and croplands attract large concentrations of birds, including waterfowl and bald eagles. A large herd of mule deer is among the resident wildlife.
