Tillamook Forest Center

Tillamook Forest Center, 21.5 mi. e. on SR 6 at 45500 Wilson River Hwy., educates visitors about the Tillamook Forest's history, ecology and management. Displays include a well-preserved steam donkey machine used for hauling logs and replicas of a homesteader's cabin, a train station, a stagecoach stop and a logging camp. The Tillamook Burn Theater demonstrates the power of a forest fire, and other features include a 250-foot-long suspension bridge and a fire tower. Naturalists present interactive talks and guided walks on a variety of forest topics.
