AAA Editor Notes
The Pinnacles are along Wheeler Creek Canyon near the e. boundary of Crater Lake National Park. The formations are spires of fused pumice and scoria; some rise 200 feet above the canyon floor. Other spires and fluted columns eroded from soft volcanic material can be seen in Castle Creek Canyon, Godfrey Glen and Annie Creek Canyon.
