AAA Editor Notes
Perth Museum, at 11 Gore St. E. in the 1840 Matheson House, has an enclosed Scottish garden and three rooms reflecting the lifestyle of an 1840s upper-class family. The parlor represents the 1890s. Exhibits include Canadian whiskey history; a preserved piece of the Mammoth Cheese, a block of cheese made by eastern Ontario dairy farmers for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair; the pistols used in Ontario's last fatal duel; minerals; and Rideau Lakes First Nations artifacts.
