The Haunted Walk of Ottawa

The Haunted Walk of Ottawa departs from the ticket office on Sparks St. Ninety-minute ghost tours conducted by lantern light recount local ghost stories and Ottawa's dark history. The Original Haunted Walk features tales about the Bytown Museum and the Fairmont Château Laurier. The Ghosts and the Gallows tour explores the murder of D'Arcy McGee and supernatural encounters that emanate from the old Carleton County Jail. The Crime & Punishment Jail Tour includes a tour through the Old Carleton County Jail. The Time Travel Trail Adventure details hidden secrets of Ottawa’s past that aren’t found in any history book. Other tours also are available.

Note: The Ghosts and the Gallows tour includes stairs; full mobility is required. The tour is not recommended for young children.
