AAA Editor Notes
Battlefield House Museum & Park National Historic Site is at Centennial Pkwy. and King St. in Stoney Creek. Costumed interpreters lead tours of the 1796 pioneer homestead Battlefield House, site of the 1813 Battle of Stoney Creek. The home is furnished with pieces from early 19th-century Upper Canada. Visitors can climb to an observation deck at the top of the 31-metre (100-ft.) monument built to commemorate 100 years of peace between the United States and Great Britain following the War of 1812.

The museum, on 32 acres of parkland with a sub-trail linking it with the Bruce Trail, is adjacent to the Battlefield Cemetery at Smith's Knoll where both American and British soldiers are buried. The first weekend in June marks the annual Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
