Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site

Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site, 297 John St. N., was Dr. Norman Bethune's 1890 birthplace. The ground floor and master bedroom of the late Victorian clapboard house have been restored to circa 1890. A visitor center offers exhibits, artifacts and interactive displays about the doctor and his innovations in battlefront surgical procedures and public health care. Special events are scheduled throughout the year, and a variety of tour options are available upon arrival.
