Huron Historic Gaol and Governor's House

Huron Historic Gaol and Governor's House, jct. Hwy. 21 and Gloster Terr. at 181 Victoria St. N., is a large, octagonal, three-story 1842 stone building with surrounding walls. Visitors view restored cell blocks, a library, bathroom, gaoler's apartment, kitchen and governor's (warden's) office. The restored governor's house next to the gaol provides a vivid contrast to the living quarters of his charges.
