Fort Frances Museum and Cultural Centre

Fort Frances Museum and Cultural Centre, on Scott St. (Hwy. 11) between Mowat and Portage aves., is in an 1898 schoolhouse. The museum chronicles early discovery and development of the area with exhibits about the First Nations culture, early exploration, the fur trade, occupation and settlement, and industrialization. Art and traveling exhibits also are featured.
