Mill Creek Park

Mill Creek Park is s. of Mahoning Ave. off Glenwood Ave. The 2,882-acre park contains a 6-mile-long gorge, 15 miles of foot trails, 20 miles of drives, a pond and three lakes. Opportunities for biking, boating, cross-country skiing, fishing, golf, hiking, sledding and tennis are available. The largest of the lakes is 60-acre Lake Newport, which also includes 40 acres of wetlands that can be explored on the interpretive boardwalk along the Albert E. Davies Wetland Trail.

Four viewing platforms on the 1913 Parapet Bridge afford pleasant views of the area. Fellows Riverside Gardens, Ford Nature Center and Lanterman's Mill also are on the grounds.

Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
