Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens

Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens is at 224 Market St. The 1771 Colonial Georgian house is restored and contains 18th-century furnishings, offering visitors the chance to experience what life was like in pre-Revolutionary Wilmington. The gardens include an orchard, rose garden, 1744 kitchen and debtors jail cells. The massive stone walls of an old jail constitute the house's foundation.
