Looking Glass Rock is reached by a 3-mile trail that begins about 10 mi. n.w. of Brevard via US 276, following signs. The rock is believed to be the largest granite monolith in the southern Appalachians. Popular among climbers, it also can be viewed from Milepost 417 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
