Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum

Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum is at 59200 Museum Dr. The museum, named after the dangerous coastal waters where hundreds of shipwrecks have been discovered, documents maritime history, piracy and the influence of shipwrecks on the culture of the Outer Banks. Also featured is the original Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Fresnel lens, artifacts from the German submarine U-85, 2,000-year-old coins, and information about local Civil War activity.
