The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, off SR 15, was chartered in 1789 and was the first public university in America to graduate students in the 18th century. At the heart of the 700-acre campus is the historic Coker Arboretum, planted in 1903.

Visitor parking is available in a number of municipal lots along Franklin and Rosemary streets.
