Wildwater Raft & Rail Excursion, departing the railroad depot in Bryson City, 226 Everett St., combines rail and white-water excursions in one outing. The adventure begins with a scenic 2-hour train trip across Fontana Lake to the top of Nantahala Gorge. Rafts are then boarded for a guided 3-hour trip down the Nantahala River. Lunch is included.
