AAA Editor Notes
YMI Cultural Center is downtown at 39 S. Market St. (at the corner of Eagle St.). Commissioned by George Vanderbilt in 1893, the center has exhibits that celebrate African American life and a permanent collection of African artifacts. Music, drama and dance programs also are presented.
