AAA Editor Notes
Thomas Wolfe Memorial State Historic Site, 52 N. Market St., was the novelist's childhood home. Furnished with family possessions, the house retains the atmosphere of Dixieland, the boardinghouse in “Look Homeward, Angel.” Personal items and a 20-minute film about Wolfe's life are presented in the visitor center.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
