Stanly County Museum

Stanly County Museum, 245 E. Main St., traces human development in the hills of North Carolina. Exhibits depict Native American culture, pioneer life, slavery, the Civil War and modern events that shaped regional culture. Two restored 19th-century houses are located on museum grounds. Both feature period furniture and household implements.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
