AAA Editor Notes
Mercantile Premises, on West St., overlooks the harbor and is perhaps the oldest wooden structure in the province. It used to serve as a counting house and merchant shop; the office area was built in the 1750s and Benjamin Lester built the shop in 1764. Artifacts from the fishing town are displayed throughout the building.
