Bowring Park

Bowring Park, at Waterford Bridge Rd. and Cowan Ave. on the w. end of town, is a traditional English botanical garden with several bronze statues. Many foreign dignitaries have planted trees in the park to mark their visits to the city. Summer activities include swimming, tennis and picnicking, while winter activities include cross-country skiing and tobogganing. An amphitheater plays host to events during the summer.
