Ryan Premises National Historic Site is at jct. Ryan's Hill and Hospital Rd. This five-building complex served as a major salt fish exporting business in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The site conserves and commemorates four aspects of the East Coast fishery—the inshore, international, Labrador and seal fisheries. Highlights include various interactive and multimedia displays describing the 500-year-old Atlantic fishery heritage. The Bonavista Museum houses memorabilia from the local community and features interpretive programs.
