Jones Beach Nature Center

Jones Beach Nature Center is approximately 1 mi. s. off Meadowbrook State Pkwy. and Bay Pkwy., following signs. Exhibits provide information about the seashore, dunes and the South Shore Estuary Reserve. Children can view starfish and other live marine animals, look through a microscope, view a shipwreck and dig for whale bones at Discovery Bone Cove. A butterfly garden is on the grounds, and a boardwalk allows visitors to observe the dune environment.
