Wm. Phelps General Store & Museum

Wm. Phelps General Store & Museum is at 140 Market St. Built in 1826, this museum has had various incarnations as a boarding house, tavern, bakery and general store. The general store's doors were locked in 1940 with all of its stock intact. The Phelps' home, outfitted with original post-Civil War and Victorian decor, is on the second floor.
