New York Transit Museum

New York Transit Museum, jct. of Boerum Pl. and Schermerhorn St., is in a decommissioned subway station and traces the history of New York City public transportation through photographs, equipment, artifacts and memorabilia. Numerous trains and vehicles are displayed, some of which can be entered. A children's hands-on program is offered on weekends.
